After a fantastic Christmas holiday, we returned to school to begin an exciting topic all about dinosaurs! We have taken part in lots of interesting and exciting activities to help us discover more about them.
We have read lots of wonderful dinosaur stories and have found out facts by looking through non-fiction books.
We also created some fantastic dinosaur art, including placing a photograph of our own heads over the body of a dinosaur that we had painted, which are now proudly displayed in the corridor outside of our classroom.
During music this half term, we have been joined by Mr Clarke, who has visited all of the Reception classes. Of course, the music has been topic based, with the children learning about terms such as 'tempo' by moving or reacting to dinosaur themed songs and tunes.
As well as finding out all about dinosaurs, we have also taken part in the NSPCC 'Number Day', where the children and adults in school dressed in maths related outfits instead of school uniform (there were numbers, patterns and colours galore!), and took part in maths related problems and activties all day, including a special maths workshop with the help of some fabulous Year 6 helpers from Inglewood Junior School!
