Funding for families receiving government support – If your family receives government support, such as Universal Credit, you may be entitled to 15 hours funded childcare. This funding begins the term after your child turns 2 years old.

If you are eligible for 15-hour funded childcare, you can use this flexibly to:

  • Pay for 5 mornings or afternoons a week during term times
  • Use it for 2 and a half full days a week during term-time. A full day would be 8.45-2.45pm
  • You would pay for the lunch cover if you need your child to stay until 3.15pm
  • You can also ‘top up’ by paying for sessions at the above rate.

Working Parent Entitlement (30 Hours) – you can now receive funded childcare from 9 months old. You must apply the term before you wish your child to start nursery. The funding would then begin the term after. Please see the table below as a guide.
